14/48

I went to the 14/48 festival last night (in Seattle). Not only was it great--the theme being "Daddy Never Understood," but guess who was playing Dick Chaney in a plexiglass box? Mr. Sean Nelson. Nice legs, Sean. :)

I got a shirt that says "I heart Nerds." Which is pretty much true, so I like it.

I just saw Big Fish last night. It was really great. Tim Burton's a super genius. Plus carnivals are just awesome. Any of you catch HBO's series Carnivale? That's really good. If it ever comes out on DVD, I totally suggest that. Mix between carnivals of the dustbowl era + a little X-files. American ...

I'm so sad! I have to miss the Beatles cover night AND 3IG's indie rock Xmas. Sometimes I forget why I go home for the holidays. Hopefully I'll be around for the Heaven and Hell Ball. I'm in it for the rumble.

Know what's awesome? Listening to the Long Winters while looking at pictures of the Long Winters (totally coincidentally, BTW).

Nice pictures of my other favorite Barsuk boys too. Thanks for sharing.

it should be X-men style...you know...Long Winters on one side, Decemberists on the other...running at each other. Good money could be made at such an event.

Warning Issued

Just thought I should let the guys know that Colin Meloy of the Decemberists seem to call out to the LWs last night...something like "Tell the Long Winters that we're after them." He then went on to mention how there are 5 Decemberists, and 4 Long Winters. And how the girls in the Decemberists are t...

And Nora? Really? But those lyrics... "she never says I love you till I say I love you like we're exchanging hostages?" The whole song could be humming with just that phrase and I'd love it. I could go on and on about how much I love this song despite the fact that it's telling my least favorite lo...

I love it...I love it...I love it...I love it...I love it...I love it...I love it...I love it...I love it...I love it...I love it...I love it...I love it...I love it...Nothing better than harmonizing horses. I had a choir conductor who had a dog who would howl to "fanfare for the common man." That's...

Definitely lunchboxes. I'm totally convinced. Musical lunchboxes...even better.

BTW, can I just say that it was so cute to see Sean singing along to Centromatic?
