i'm really not that into electronic stuff (i have a few aphex records, squarepusher, dj shadow, i think that's it), but i heard the latest m83 album ("dead cities...") and on first and second listen, everything past "unrecorded" is really uninspired, plus i think they overused bit reducing distortio...

Re: Ridiculous on so many levels
Watch The Year That Punk Broke and tell me Nirvana wasn't a great live band. Then pen a song as catchy as ANY TRACK on Nevermind and tell me it's easy. Nirvana's success ushered in Alt Rock radio. It also changed the way record companies operated and led to thousands of bands being signed. (I'm not...

if she wants less lengthy ayn rand, go with the fountainhead. (the point in both of those being "objectivism is the best philosophy ever") also, johnny got his gun by dalton trumbo (point: war is bad) the jungle by upton sinclair (point: laissez-faire capitalism and meat packing industries don't mix)

Re: jesus h..
sorry, dean's probably not going to get the nomination. An overwhelming air of self-defeatism in the ranks is the only thing that would/will result in a loss for the Dean camp, which is sort of unbelievable, in addition to being ohmygodunbelievably depressing . I hate to sound out straight from the...

Dudes. If people keep implying that Howard Dean's consistent second-place showing somehow means that his campaign is failing or in its dying throes, I'm going to have to start cracking some folks upside the head.. uh, with facts! (No, not with socks full of pennies! Not taking that approach at all!...
