I did get one! It was the bees knees!
(I like clinics, but I don't really like mayo. Please let me know if she moves to a mustard clinic. Or like, even one of those "can your own veggies" collectives.)
(It is prestigious though.)
(You should actually start calling her "Baroness of Humors".)

Re: NY resolutions
After several hours of careful consideration, I'm going to have to go with a Faverolle. This is a risky move as most people who wear braces would stray from a breed with lots of small fluffy feathers. HOWEVER. I think we all know that Captain Jack enjoys sticking two fingers up at fate. And his orth...

Joooohn For Saaaale
Cole Porter fans, sing along! My buddy Peter Ellenby has made Captain Jack the sale print of the week ! This is very important because Christmas is around the corner and you know how hard it is to buy for the choosy indie rocker in your life. They will say, "ZOMG, he totes has long hair!", and you w...

Listen, here's the thing. I really think about you people. Like, seriously, all the time . And yesterday I was reading a New Yorker and came across an article that really speaks to the whole Superfan thing. The art alone will have you on LOLerskates... Just Write It! EDIT: I forgot to mention that t...

Yeah, I was just asked to solve another one. Apparently I am very very dangerous without actually being Shakira.
So I have that going for me, anyway.

Yeah, I think you're right Grant. And it appears that what Tevatron doesn't finish up, LHC will take over?

CAPTCHA'd
So, somehow I exceeded my maximum number of log-ins...and the CAPTCHA was so totally insane and illegible that I actually gave up for a few days. Finally got one that was slightly less complicated than doing maintenance on the Hubble and made it back in. Seriously. What happened to the days of the l...

My pal Hudson* is a huge CVB fan and he just alerted me to the fact that apparently David Lowery is kinda blogging about his music experiences and as such shedding light on some of thee olden days: Because I love you, I will not direct you to the home page but...

Re: LHC in the House!
In some not-so-happy LHC related news, it appears that the Tevatron at Fermilab is closing. It's my understanding that much learned in the Tevatron was used at CERN.

Hot rock! Good luck Kepler-10b - you might wanna talk to Pluto about this...
NASA's Kepler mission confirmed the discovery of its first rocky planet, named Kepler-10b. Measuring 1.4 times the size of Earth, it is the smallest planet ever discovered outside our solar system.

Re: Article by John in the Seattle Weekly Reverb Residency
The Captain's latest piece, which discusses the evilles of Top 10 lists , is up. I've already gone on record as being in violent agreement on this topic - even though I get caught up sometimes and say that an album is in my Top 10. That is an overstatement built of well-intentioned hyperbole, a shor...

Radio Show on KEXP tonight, Dec 11 8pm PST
Apparently Captain Jack will be on KEXP this evening.
He'll have a ukulele! And Rachel Flotard! And Hannah Levin! And Bernadette Peters! I made that last one up! (But it would be awfully hottt.)
