Re: John Roderick Pre-Primary Stampathon Show 7/26/15

John & Sean played a few songs acoustic before the rest of the band came in for the rock portion of the set. The encore was John playing Commander solo on piano.

Re: West Coast tour

I have a few Seattle suggestions. Volunteer Park on Capitol Hill has a good view plus there's an old water tower you can walk up to the top of and get an even better view and it's free unlike the Space Needle. The waterfront is kinda lame but there's a sculpture park at the north end if you're into ...

Re: Long Winters at Doe Bay Festival Aug. 15, 2009

The Doe Bay show was very nice. Set outside on a lawn, the band came on just as the sun was going down and the stars were coming out. They deviated a bit from the setlist, Commander and Blue Diamonds were played but Carparts was not and there were a few impromptu jams of Aerosmith and Beastie Boys. ...

What a great reason to go to the San Juan's. I haven't been to Orcas Island since I went to Camp Orkila for 6th grade camp. It is very nice up there.

Does anybody still have the WSH demo handy? I'd love to hear it. I just came across the MP3s from the Beatbox show again. The WSH versions are really rockin', especially Copernicus. It would also be neat to hear an old version of Delicate Hands.

It's contained within the podcast XML file . Load that file in your browser and you should see a bunch of XML gibberish. Scroll down a bit and you'll see that amongst all the gibberish are the URLs to the actual podcast MP3s. Look for where it says <enclosure url="http://content.digitalwell.washingt...

You just did.

I suspect it's tricky to replicate all the synth and keyboard in it. It's kinda like Commander with all that atmosphere sound underneath. But yeah, it would be awesome to hear it live.

About Mimi... John said they're slowing working it back in. 30 seconds of it this show, 45 seconds the next show. I'd like to hear Sky Is Open but John said they don't know how to play it live yet.

I'll be at the KEXP BBQ. Looks like the Fruit Bats thing is solo acoustic. I might go to that.

I like the Future version mainly because that's the version I heard first and the EP version just sounds kinda weird to me. Speaking of Jim Clowes, I had him for a CHID class a year or so before he died.
