I'm sure this has been posted elsewhere on the site, but.........I got a surprise when I went to the event's page http://www.bookeaters.org/ JR was originally slated to be on the panel for the Royce Hall discussion and now his name is missing from the bill. I was looking forward to seeing him onstag...

Ha ha ;)

The buzz on the grapevine is that the Long Winters board is en route to curing cancer as we know it. In addition, we're also going to finally answer the age old question; Who's greater - Pirates or Ninjas?

At my first indie music show, my friend Brianna explained to me in a hushed whisper, "Remember: indie = don't dance." I've been struggling with this rule for a while now, so I thought I could use some company as I listen to amazing independent music and try my hardest not to dance. Honestly, since ...

That's nice how JR is so receptive to requests. As much as I adore TLW's music, et al, I did sense this whole aloof, indifference a la indie musician attitude. At stateside shows, does the band occasionally take requests, if at all?

Hmmm, Ben Folds duetting with Rufus Wainright (sp?) with Careless Whisper. That was pure magic. Also, Guster and Barenaked Ladies covering The Cure's Boys Don't Cry was pretty good. Once the crowd calmed down of course.....

He covered an Aimee Mann song? That must have been lovely. Does anyone know if there is a recording of it? Also, since I'm still earning my LW-wings....what are some covers that they have done in recent tours?

Okay one of us will have to write Roderick & Co. and demand that they supply up with either a special edition 8-track tape of PDTB OR a Beta videocasette documenting the making of PDTD. My money is on the Beta tape. {hahaha}

Do you guys think that the guys are going to release a double/special version of PDTB? Or was the Ultimatum EP basically just that?

Given that he seems to be barely aware of his opposable thumbs and what they're for ....yeah. All sarcasam aside, you're right. What bothers me is how he seems to be completely unfazed by it all. {Katrina, et al} I mean, if Stephen Colbert compared anything I did to the Hindenberg, I'd be in a bit o...

Well, there may be truth to that arguement. Lack of education on hot topics in general is prevalent. But, the fact that glaciers are steadily melting and polar bears are steering near the way of the dodo is "tad" unsettling for me. Pandas can go extinct though....freaking bears have perfect teeth bu...
