... except that this is me, and I beat Sean to the punch by a full work week.

["realneal" is to LW as "JetCity" is to HD. I was once realneal on that board as well -- woe be the day I forgot the appropriate e-mail/password combo.]

Sasquatch and other hairy creatures

I'm surprised this hasn't leaked over from the HD board yet: apparently Sean will be at Sasquatch after all, only with Harvey Danger (just recently tacked on the bill). So to those of you who said you were too good for Sasquatch: get off your horse and buy your tickets already... Yee have been warned.

In honor of Eric and His Birthday, a banter-quote from the 4/20 Cambridge show: Roderick: "Check, check...we need more vocals on eric. We’d love to hear more of eric’s vocals in the audience, is that correct?" Crowd: "Yeah!" Roderick: "I’d like to congradulate Eric, this is his debeu on this tours s...

hey thepeter, i know a bunch of people who agree w/you. since the bill seems to be full of bands you can see w/frequency here they are passing on it unless a big national act gets on the bill. My two cents, if I may. If we all -- Brutiful excepting -- prefer these incredible NW bands to mediocre na...

Long Winters (and DCFC) on the East Coast in April?

Saw this on the Mid East Club site, but could not corroborate with the Barsuk, LongWinters, or High-Road sites: Sat 4/10 Pernice Brothers, Lambchop, The Long Winters 18+ $15 It would seem that DCFC is also playing in Boston that night, but at a different venue (hosted by the Mid East, but at Avalon)...

Boston is lovely this time of year...

Just out of curiosity, anybody know why the Winters aren't following DCFC up to Boston from New York on the tail end of the tour? I was recently transplanted (for educational purposes) over here from Seattle, so I was geographically unable to see the Bumbershoot show, which I'm told was incredible. ...

Merlin fans take note. The Kaiser of Nerds himself was recently immortalized in a Stranger article, written by none other than our own Sean Nelson.

I won't try to paraphrase him, but at the record release shows in Seattle Sean kept talking about putting the "emo" back in "Fremont".

The only good all-ages clubs that Seattle ever had, Velvet Elvis and RKCNDY (and possibly even the Paradox) are long gone. I don't remember seeing any of you snivelling brats there (obviously, or else they might still be in business) C' mon, be kind to us younguns. We're sensitive to digital name-c...

Seriously, don't be a whiner. Thanks for the compassion, Damien. I was at the SAM and Sonic Boom shows, and both blew me away. I can't let them play an age-exclusive show without lodging my formal objection. Or whining. Whatever. But seriously, isn't a little silly that we apply liquor restrictions...

Down with age-ist venues!

C'mon you guys. No shows in Seattle til the end of June, and then only at the prepetually 21+ Crocodile? Sorry, I didn't get the "Fuck You" memo for your underaged fans. I jest. I'll always love you guys (even if I have to do it from just outside the venue), I'm just frustrated with having to deal w...

What a great way to spend my saturday. I really appreciated that they played so many songs from "All you can do.." Sean and John were awesome in that acuoustic set in Fremont. Some of the best on-stage banter I've ever seen.

God, what a great day.

I loved your shirts, your son was very cute.
