I do not know if I am going, actually. It is tough. I travel down to San Jose specifically to be tattooed but obviously I cannot get an appointment while the convention is taking place. I would have to come down specifically for it or work something out where I am tattooed during the convention (as ...

I have my next appointment on September 6th. We are actually close to finishing the background of my back piece (which actually goes all the way down to the back of my knees). It will probably be a little under a year or so before the whole back piece is finished. Still no pictures of it yet; probab...

the last 2 cds Ultimatum gets no love. :( I purposely said LPs (and I am sure that is what Brutaful meant too) in my post just because the Ultimatum EP is so different from the LPs that it is hard to place it amongst them. However, it is arguably the best they have put out with four great original ...

I'm jonesin so bad to see them do Give Me a Moment and rock it out live. You probably already read this and I am not trying to gloat but they played a great version of it at the last Showbox show. Merely pointing out that there is hope for you to hear it someday! TWYCDIH was much more of a grower f...

I might be outing myself once again but am I the only one who really does not care for Pink Floyd? I was at that show and I was probably the only one not singing along to this.

I have said it elsewhere but like I said in this thread it had to grow on me. The first time I realized how much I liked it was when they played it at Wulapalooza last year.

I think I might be outing myself a bit here but PTDTB was not an overall grower for me. Some songs have grown on me but some songs have actually died off for me. "Rich Wife" and "Honest" are the most notable examples of songs to which I now have a hard time listening. "Sky is Open" and "Seven" are p...

The best thing about that one is the two second snippet at the end: "Coming up...Linkin Park."

I am not a gusher and that does not surprise most people who know me. Generally I do not even approach the members of the band other than those who might work the merch booth. However, last weekend I did see Dicky Barrett of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones hanging out listening to Dropkick Murphys after...

were you the guy in the penny arcade shirt? if so, you were just to our right. my boyfriend noted that the characters on your shirt were his very most favorite from penny arcade! Indeed, that was me and my girlfriend to the left of me and at certain points in front of me. Were you the two to our le...

--"Give Me a Moment" is the new "Nora" in terms of guitar solos You are right and I was extremely happy to get to hear it since it was one of the few songs I had yet to hear live. I said this last year after Wulapalooza as well but I have been impressed at how amazing their versions of the TWYCDIH ...

Hmm, 500 seems a bit high actually. The first show of their last tour was at the Independent and it was a good show with a decent turnout.

I think most people go about it the wrong way (no offense to anyone reading this, I swear); that is, they try to figure out the intentions of the artist instead of just trying to make their own interpretation and understanding of the song. For me, having the artist illuminate the meaning of the lyri...

I mentioned "Shanty Town" to Jonathan when I saw them in Yakima (on my birthday); John's dad was at the show so I was hoping for a sing along. It sounded like he would be as surprised as the rest of us if John ever actually did play it. Nevertheless I voted for "Everything's Talking" and "Shanty Tow...

Same guy who is doing the sleeve, Jesse Tuesday . He's amazing. Yeah, his work looks to be well done. I'm usually fairly wary of Western tattoo artists who try their hand at the traditional style but he seems to do a good job of blending the two without looking cheesy. Wait - you're in Olympia? Isn...
