Re: Come sit on John's lap!

I think I'm the only picture in the album that doesn't include Santa; I was probably making terrible faces without even trying, when I actually posed.

Re: Question about Nabil's Drums on the DVD

The prosecutors wouldn't have had a case if Dee hadn't left that guitar pick in her cleavage. Like some spiders and insects, cold weather can force Twisted Sisters indoors; the number of cross-dressing band home invasions has skyrocketed lately.

Re: The Official Live at the Showbox DVD thread

Mike, that is so cool. You're going to start a global chain reaction of heart-warming. I was at the show, and it was a really solid performance, and I saw how hard Adam worked on it, so am pretty excited to see the DVD, once christmas comes.

Re: Underneath the Tree

in highschool, I took ASL from a pretty unqualified teacher for a while, but the one thing that stuck with me over the years was the fact that she made us learn some christmas songs in sign language and she translated "winter wonderland" into "white rain dirt plain".

Re: Christmas-ish interview (old)

I was there, but didn't end up on Santa's lap last year, and only now did I spot myself all depth of fielded out in a cool picture of Eric. Super blurry is actually one of my best looks, luckily Laura realizes that.

After a bit of thinking, I believe it is a high angle shot at the marquee of the showbox. The band names would be to the left and right.

I think the thought would be that it would be weird if he was playing a Fender on a clip posted by Gibson Guitars.

Ah, but that extra money gets you Hodgman in a tuxedo, a copy of his book, and, most likely, better security than the Seattle show.

John Hodgman came out and spoke about his rapid rise to minor celebrityhood, Jonathan Coulton played his theme song, they had a fight [triangle wins], and eventually, Hodgman announced his "contingency plan" to have another hairy troubadour available, at which point John Roderick came out, and playe...
