smart-ass Better'n being a dumb-ass. (I know, it's an old joke, but it's true!) Two things about the actual poll answers: 1. Yes! Someone else besides me actually doesn't worship iPods! No offense to any of you who love yours, but if I never hear the word 'iPod' again, it will be entirely too soon....

The man passed within a foot of me at the L.A. premiere of The Glimmer Man years ago. He wears WAY too much cologne. (I don't mean to say it was annoying, folks--if he had lingered for a moment instead of walking straight past, I would've started choking and had to leave. And no, I'm not hyper-sensi...

Man, that is exactly what I thought, the second I read 'Charlie Rose'! Problem, though: doesn't one have to act to be on that show?

I'm down for pilfering the questionnaire and reading some Roderickian answers though.

'Roderickian'. You know you liked that.

I wondered, too, and found this: Fleischkuekle is a meat filled pie, much like the Cornish "pasties" or Russian perogies. They are fried rather than baked. In some communities, the fleischkuekle threaten to displace hamburgers as the first "fast food choice" of local patrons. In terms of confections...

I think.

Went to the show; it was pretty damn good, despite some kind of technical difficulty involving a battery that I still don't understand. I grabbed a CD, which played in my cab for a good portion of last night. On a side note, I went to another show last week: Ghost of Monks Hood featuring members of ...

Sean Nelson guesting on Minus 5 record

Among others... In February 2006, Yep Roc Records will release "THE MINUS 5" (a/k/a "The Gun Album") the seventh full-length recording by the group. It will feature the McCaughey/Buck/Ramberg/Rieflin line-up, as well as two tracks recorded in Chicago with Wilco, and guest appearances by John Wesley ...

Playing In Fog is co-presenting his show here at home. I'm thinking we should change the posters to reflect this new development in John's name and/or stage persona. When you say 'we should change the posters', do you mean that someone in authority should put out new posters, or that you should go ...

Funny you should say that...when I first saw the poster, I imagined a guy in regular threads, but with a Vader helmet on, playing guitar.

I don't think I could hack the costume, though. All that pesky breathing I have to keep doing.

Vaderslice

There are posters around town advertising, among other things, a 'John Vaderslice' show at the Opolis on Oct. 30th.
The name's right on the website, however.

Oddly enough, it's on a Sunday, so I can go. Should I? I mean, it's eight whole dollars...heehee, 'Vaderslice'.

I honestly have no idea--and HATE stats, by the way--but from context, I'd say it's something along the lines of margin of error.

I actually heard about mojitos from friends who had them in England, and I haven't
found an American bartender yet who has a clue WTF I'm talking about. Hmm.

Yes, but how many posts are actually about the band, as opposed to various animals and/or their respective ass-kicking abilities?
