the show at Ekko in Utrecht

I am a Seattlite studying abroad in France, though I have a break at the end of October and heading up to Utrecht for the Long Winters show... words can not describe how excited I am. Though I was wondering if anyone knows if I can buy tickets ahead of time from Ekko. I went to the Ekko website and ...

if I was only six months older I would be there in a heart beat... I have literally been waiting years to see the Long Winters live. I am hoping for an all-ages show when the album comes out.

does a scene make the magazine or does the magazine make the scene? That is a wonderful question and I don't know if I have a precise answer. The music came before the magazine, but the music and the music scene are two different things. In this particular situation the "music scene" came before th...

I too picked myself up a copy of Seattle Sound and I would agree with A Brutaful Smile 's observations of the magazine; as while it claims or seems to want to branch out to all aspects of "Seattle music" it heavily favors indi rock. I would say that John's article was an original piece and I am curi...

in Dutch, school never means university or college. Yeah, i think the US might be the only place where the word "school" isn't age specific. I learned the hard way when I was studying in London and said I had to get to school for a lecture. Hilarity ensued. Another thing concerning the terminology ...

I'll most likely be waiting my turn to perform at Speaker's Corner in Hyde Park. (I thought I would join in on quoting John) I would thoroughly enjoy seeing John at Speaker's Corner. The last time I was there I wasn't as impressed as I had expected to be, but I know John would put together a dandy ...

Yeah, I heard that commercial a couple times last night at work. I rarely pay attention to the TVs playing about the store where I work, but when I heard the melody to "Stupid" I looked up and I saw a commercial for the Special Olympics. Like Skip , I came here to kind of confirm my observation. The...

I think it would be awesome to see the Long Winters cover the Divorce... "Houses in Hurricanes" would a wonderful 'love' song for John to sing.
Covers can be a lot of fun when you get good bands cover good bands, it usually makes for an interesting listen.

Long Winters on 'What's Next' on the End

I am not sure which song, though word has it Harms on 107.7 the End will be playing a new Long Winters song at 7:30pm as part of his 'What's Next' segment. It will obviously be something off Ultimatum, but nonetheless it is always a wonderful to hear the Long Winters on the radio. For those of you w...

Just out of curiousity, how does John's cameo in "16 Military Wives" play into the picture? correction: John's leading role in "16 Military Wives"... I must vote for National Geographic... it is the only magazine which I look through. I have even made a head sculpture of Gilbert Hovey Grosvenor, who was an editor for National Geographics from 1899 to 1954... I am pathetic :)
