It barely fit in the 23-foot boat Benz was riding in. But he knew they had to bring it ashore.
"Nobody believes a fisherman."

Note for fishermen everywhere: be prepared when you go fishing and your boat isn't big enough to hold a squid. Bait, lines, and camphone!

Great story.

Re: NY resolutions

Those breeds kinda sound like they could be a list of baseball players' names. I was notoriously bad at the board's baseball thingie back in the day, so I'm assuming I will end last on this.
Which suits me fine. Bring it on.

I guess they use the word 'assume' because 'hope' doesn't sound too credible for a journalist, even if it's ironic city gossip journalism...

Re: long long time ago

wow, I sort of figured that Florida never getting tha love might mean that Grant might be the sad winner of this little 'competition', but I figured you might have caught a SF show some time visiting Merlin or something.

NEVER?
I silently weep.

Re: Long Winters Catalog Review

in my book Harm is absolutely slaying it awesome, Pretend to Fall is totally headbobbingly awesome, Ultimatum is an awesome little gem (just for The Commander it should be top of any list!), and Bed is rockin' awesome. Also I would like to add a review of Live at the Showbox, which is awesome, espec...

long long time ago

Someone on this board said out loud that it's dead, which is of course nonsense, it's merely slumbering (like John is, I imagine). But I do wonder who is the most pitiful of the survivors: that is, how long ago has it been since you last saw TLW perform live in any constellation? For me, it was 9 Fe...

Re: Article by John in the Seattle Weekly Reverb Residency

oh wow, why didn't I think of starting http://www.wheresthatnewthelongwintersalbumalready.com? anyone want to get into a feud over it?

That series sounds like an interesting read, by the way, but it will have to wait because I"m reading Roddy Doyle's Henry Smart trilogy, which is amazing.

funny enough, I think the second one is a pretty good semblance, and I prefer it over the third one. But perhaps I just like a stone wall background better than psychedelic colours...

Re: Congratulations, John!

Yay, congratulations on a lovely daughter. Not sure about the merits of his poop posts, but it may be a fase, and otherwise perhaps it's best to steer clear of his twitter and facebook until she is potty-trained. I have this vision of future John sternly telling his teenage daughter that "It's ...

Re: Where can I get poster Art

hi Jared, welcome to the board. Not sure if I have anything to offer on your question, except for a 'hurrah' for the great idea. I've never come across any posters with lyrics on them. A long shot: for my fansite I have often used the gigposters.com site ( http://www.gigposters.com/posters.php?band=...

okay, okay, i've set the captcha a little bit easier - not too much though, or we'll be getting Shakira nude pics offers again. I solved my captcha on first try, but then I do a lot of brain puzzles... one cannot start early enough to beat dementia.
