Whoa, how 'bout those manly backup vocals on "Your Legs Grow"?

Pretty fucking great.

It appears that today is the super duper shipping day for the book/cd from McSweeney's. I got an email yesterday back from my request about the shipment's whereabouts, and was informed there was a delay with the book (I'm not sure what) but it would be out today or tomorrow. Yay! One more week!

It is completely worth the wait. You think you'll be let down? Nope. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

I shipped mine to my address at school. So I won't have the disc until the second week in September at the earliest.

But then, I never liked pogs.

please disregard earlier whining from today.

it was sitting in my mailbox, all lonely, waiting for me to arrive and free the music.

wonderful.

My cd rack is still sadly lacking as well. I just moved and don't have a permanent address yet and I've yet to find a music store in Albuquerque cool enough to stock it yet...and I can't even listen to the kexp link because my only internet is in the library and I always forget my headphones .So I'll be really suprised when I finally get a listen :)

AlbaQ? Watcha doing there? BowWow in KnobHill is decent--they used to have one of those cards you stamp...buy ten cds, get one free. Can't beat that. No telling if they'll have this one though.

Have you been the rattlesnake museum yet? Will you eat a cinnamon bun a The Frontier for me?

I'm down here for the next 5ish years for grad school. I think BowWow is no more, I walked by a couple days ago and it looks like it's rather permanantly closed...I am sitting more or less right across from the Frontier though as I type (yay for wireless coffee shops!) and it looks like an intriguing spot.

I've got a couple more record shops to check this afternoon so hopefully I'll have a little more success :)

BowWow is closed? How about Palindrome? And The Frontier is truly amazing. You will adore it.

The Southwest gets under your skin, girly, but in a good way. Listen to a lot of Calexico, read Jimmy Santiago Baca, and love your New Mexico.

Green Chili Pizza, how I miss thee!
