The Long Winters Lexicon, a list from A to Z.

Why not?

Started over here, when...

F is for FRIENDS. The Long Winters have many friends playing on their album. F is also for FUTURE SOUNDTRACK FOR AMERICA and also FREEBIRD.

Incidentally, if I follow the show properly (and I've seen TWO WHOLE EPISODES, so let's give me some credit), you can have more than one word per letter. So let's give up a little B for Barsuk action, all right? And maybe have the Robs Huebel and Riggle mispronounce it and then yell "Bar-SUCK!" at each other Kung Fu Grip style?

Can we also say it's for FRAMPTON, as in Peter Frampton, and some of the greatest, on request 'Do You Feel Like We Do' improv performances a band has ever done? (at the Croc and at Sasquatch)

ah yes, barsuk. I...uh....thought of that, but then I decided it was too obvious. (I'm the worst liar....how could sit there and think b...b...hmmm...and not come up with Barsuk?!)

you can TOTALLY have more than one word per letter. we're not picky. or particularly factual.

holy shizzy. you guys blow my mind. when we reach Z, i'll just print this over and hand it to the producers, saying 'my work here is done.'

I is is for It'll be a Breeze, a fine song in which the title is also the refrain.

Let's refrain from making the obvious puns! Bwa Ha!

J is for J. Rod, the nicknamed seemingly preferred by most Long Winters afficionados.

J. Rod? Doesn't he play for the Yankees? Oh.

K is for Ken Stringfellow, Long Winters' producer extraordinaire, who also just happened to perform his incredibly emotional, piano-driven version of 'Scared Straight' just a few short hours ago at Fez, the very club at which J. Rod opened for Mr. Strings three years ago.

R is for Refu Majira Va Baridi...the long winters in Swahili...because the thread where we discovered all those foreign ways to scream about the lovely long winters was just too much fun.
