Giampino Benefit @ Neumo's 9/2

Post by Squid »

I'll be embarrassed if this is old news, but I looked around quickly and didn't see it anywhere.

I know Seattle-lites already prolly know about this, but just in case there's anyone from outta town who will be in SEA at this time...

*************************************************************
Giampino Benefit 9/2 with The Long Winters, Ben Gibbard, The Girls and more!

In the early morning hours of Friday, August 6, Ali and Scott Giampino's
Seattle home burned to the ground. While we are happy to report that
Ali, Scott, and Max all escaped unhurt, the house is a total loss. In
the wake of this some of us locals have teamed up to bring you and night
of music to sooth the soul and to help cover financial stains that the
family are going through while the red tape that insurance companies
like to run you around are figured out. Please help circuate this via
email, word of mouth etc etc.

On behalf of KEXP,The Stranger, Neumos and The Giampino family, we hope
you se you there.

I didn’t think I was going to make it to this since lately money is next to non-existent for me(us), but then last night almost a miracle happened and I started thinking maybe I could go. But then I woke up this morning and I’m still sick and my throat is still killing me. I think I’ve been sick for almost a week now. I don’t think I would survive a really late night at a club. Have some fun for me, will ya?

I think that's right Chelsea. That was such a fun night. Many great acts, and (I felt) a nice ecclectic mix. Getting crunk for charity is fun!

Oh, and does anyone remember the setlist for Gibbard's set?

You moved to Seattle? By yourself or with your partner in crime?

nb: thank you! i'm glad too!

SLR: i came out by myself, for now. living with miss heather and trying to adapt as quickly as possible. i'm wandering around a lot and starting work tomorrow, trying to adapt. mostly, i'm spending tons of cash and crossing my fingers that i'm on the right bus.
