I'm thinking animal planet, seeing as how we've got otters and now dogs...

Maybe the weather channel?

Or John could do a travel channel bit on low-budget walking tours of Europe?

Conan's probably my favorite though, although I have a nasty habit of falling asleep around break 2 when there's a band I really want to see...but that's what bittorrent's for :)

I think that John on Charlie Rose would be brilliant! Rose is one of the best interviews... who wouldn't want to be interviewed by Rose.

+1 for Charlie Rose. Hotrod makes great sport of smart, stoned people. I've seen it more than once, and it deserves an audience.

Let's do this thing.

A John Roderick/ Charlie Rose tete a tete: all of pop culture has been leading to this moment.

If anyone else wants to email the "Charlie Rose Show" so that John might claim his rightful place in public television history, here's the link:

Wait, is Charlie stoned, or the people who watch his show?

The White Stripes played on the Daily Show the other week. Maybe it is a sign of things to come?

Charlie Rose is cool, but I'd like to see JRod on the McLaughlin Group...tangling it up with Pat Buchanan and Eleanor Clift...

McLaughlin: "Issue number two: On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being lowest degree of unlikelihood, 10 being absolute metaphysical certitude, what are the chances of The Decemberists finding success on a major label? John Roderick!"

Bye BYE!

OH, SHIT. That would be.. that.. would.. be...let's make that one happen too. That questionaire at the end.. damn. Maybe we should just get a copy of the questionaire and get John to answer it. It could be very interesting.

Man, that is exactly what I thought, the second I read 'Charlie Rose'! Problem, though: doesn't one have to act to be on that show?

I'm down for pilfering the questionnaire and reading some Roderickian answers though.

'Roderickian'. You know you liked that.

10 Questions

Postby beitilyng » Sat Dec 17, 2005 4:23 pm

At the end of the interview section of each episode of 'Inside the Actors Studio,' James Lipton asks his guest the ten questions from a questionnaire developed by Bernard Pivot. These 10 questions originally came from a French series, "Bouillon de Culture" hosted by Bernard Pivot.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

01. What is your favorite word?

02. What is your least favorite word?

03. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?

04. What turns you off?

05. What is your favorite curse word?

06. What sound or noise do you love?

07. What sound or noise do you hate?

08. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

09. What profession would you not like to do?

10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
