Postby Liesbeth » Tue Oct 04, 2005 12:34 pm

if the warning e-mail has been sent out by Barsuk, then I didn't get it, but I check the Barsuk site every other day, just to be on the sure side, and YES, the ep can now be ordered from the barsuk website

I'm so glad I'll have something new to hold in my hand and credit to TLW...and the button? perfect. It got me excited about all the other buttons so that I ended up filling my order up with them to reach the free shipping point.

Ordered my copy yesterday! And, the tee-shirt,
and the button... But, sometimes a guy just has
to look like a weirdo fanatic in order to get things
done.

Jace, Jace, Jace...when Heather kills puppies, it's always justified.
You should know better than that.

Stop puppy violence. That's all.

A joke Heather told me once:

Q: What's more fun than stapling a puppy to a wall?

A: Tearing it down.

Then she started hysterically laughing, then hysterically crying, then laughing again before a really long period of quietly rocking back and forth.

I didn't stick around too long after that.

OKAY- so I got the EP today!!!

Awesome.

You guys, like yourselves, I've been anticipating this one for so long. And despite the fact that only two of the songs were new to me, It's as exciting as any other band's full-length. I'm not gonna write a review or anything, since you'll all be hearing it soon enough, and some of you already have. I just wanted to say that I LOVE it, and am very pleased and happy and joyful. And thank you, John and fellow Long Winters for bringing this to us.

So, is the version of "Commander" different here than on the Future Soundtrack For America? I could probably wait and find out, but I have nothing better to do right now.

Yes, it is.

Whether it's different than that other compilation it was on, I'm not sure.

the Rhizomatic compilation, a tribute/benefit to the memory of Jim Clowes, initiator and professor of the Comparative History of Ideas program at the University of Washington. It's John solo, just vocals and organ. It's a beautiful version.

It's in the Library's complete discography, including a link to the website with more info.

Man, I would love to hear that ... but I can't spend that kind of money on one song. Hehe. I'm a poor university student! ;)

I heard a pretty funny Heather joke on Friday.
Except, I think the JV retelling may have been
even funnier, because he could not stop giggling.

Numb, numb, numb.
