just got back, haven't slept in 36 hours, so review and pics later, for now, here's the setlist.

that might have been a last minute change of plan. before the soundcheck john asked will johnson from centro-matic: "can i borrow a guitar, i'll explain it later". i assume he played will's guitar for his set.

he only played for half an hour as the first of four acts, pretty empty venue still, but when he asked for requests between 5 to 10 people yelled out requests, so there were some fans there.

i enjoyed it a lot.

did the Gourds play this show as well? how did you like them if you happened to catch them? they are austin's best band IMHO and played our wedding 2 years ago (almost to the date)

missed the gourds, it was too hot in there (four bands playing as well) and i was too tired.

Hi Dom here, I told John I would put my pictures up, I'm sooooooooooooo slack, very sorry, I will very soon,
Was great to talk to John finally after a brilliant solo show, the new material sounds so great, especially liked honest,
It was certainly a very intimate show, mainly because they put him on at half 7!!!!!!!!!
anyway, was super,uber,mega good

yeah it was instantly a favourite, I forgot to say, John was "rockin' the white pants look", my girlfriend thought there were slimming.
