I've met chris walla a couple of times, and hes a perfectly nice fellow.
I didn't meet john once. He struck up a conversation with someone that was near me and acknowledged my presence with one of those head nod things.
Which was, at the least, polite. Maybe not sunshine and ponies nice (like, say, chris walla), but also not "ass" like.

technically i have had possibly one or two not so shining moments w/john but on a whole he's always been more than nice to me.
i love to get on opposite bandwagons of everyone else because of the rebel in me so in this case i would like to have an opposing view as everyone else, but i can't.
"you think so and so is the second coming??!?! whatever. they totally suck!"
yea, i'm another john adoring sheep...baaaaaa
JRod, an ass?
...well, I must confess...he has got to be the nicest human being outside of my wife and parents...chadham wrote:I refuse the right to pass judgement on JRod's 'being an ass' until I see if I get an advance of this new record...

... Wait, do we just have to ask for an advance copy of the new album on the board and we get one?chadham wrote:...well, I must confess...he has got to be the nicest human being outside of my wife and parents...chadham wrote:I refuse the right to pass judgement on JRod's 'being an ass' until I see if I get an advance of this new record...

He wants to feed you butter rum candy....
He wants to feed you butter rum candy, so how can he be mean? I'm doing an interview over the phone with him soon, and when I first started researching all I could find were accounts of his eccentricity. Some had some nice things to say, and some did not. But every time I have read anything that came out of his mouth (or his pen) it has been nice, if only a bit sarcastic. He seems to sort of shed a "grouchy" light upon himself for fun now and again. I think he must be a pretty decent fellow.
But then...why even ask that question? He makes amazing music.
