The Commander Thinks Aloud

So, which version of "The Commander Thinks Aloud" do you like better? I don't know if this has been done before; if so, I apologize.

Sorry Joseph, but I definitely prefer the EP version over the FSoA version, and greatly over the Jim Clowes tribute album version.

I've been wanting to put that version online (for those completists out there) but I've lost the damn CD. It isn't a very good version though. As I remember it, it just sounds like John sining over a church organ.

Well, if you come across it, I would definately still love to hear it. But not enough to spend no $10 for one song.

No need to be sorry, I really like the EP version, but there's something more appropriate (perhaps satisfying?) to me about the bleppity-bleppity bloop bloops in a song about a spaceship and the failure of technology that I find gets a little better captured on the FSoA version.

Man, i love that version. Sure, it is just John singing over an organ (keyboard organ perhaps?), but it has a good feel over it. I would however suggest no one puts this online without getting John's permission for it. I can understand not wanting to spend 10$ for only one song, but it is a record for charity we're talking about. Or was, perhaps, I would not be surprised if the cd isn't available anymore.

According the the website you can order it from, it's still available.

I still don't want to pay $10 for it. Especially since in Canadian dollars, plus shipping, it'll be double that. And I'm not that rich.

I like the Future version mainly because that's the version I heard first and the EP version just sounds kinda weird to me. Speaking of Jim Clowes, I had him for a CHID class a year or so before he died.
