Are you kidding me? John's having the time of his life, thinking "People paid to see me wank off on my guitar like this!" Heh.

well, obviously. however i was on the fence about sacrificing the sanctity of such an event by plastering it on the interweb.

unfortunately, in my haste i was unable to capture the 'jazz jam' last night in boston.

There's nothing sanctious about the Long Winters. Nothing.

Thanks for sharing the video, though. It was a blast to watch, and a rockin' jam.

No, it does. It's mine that's not translating back.

i have a tiny portion of 'new girl' but it isn't really worth uploading. it's hard to hold a camera still and enjoy a show at the same time... plus i was worried about disk space.

LEE'S PALACE; TORONTO, CANADA
-----------------------------------------
Clouds
Seven
Teaspoon

(these above are in order. below, not so much)

Carparts
Scared Straight
Shapes
Cinnamon
Stupid
Prom Night At Hater High
New Girl
Nora
Delicate Hands
Everything Is Talking (partial tease)
Pushover
Fire Island, AK
Honest (my request)
Hindsight
(It's A) Departure

(in order again below this point!)

Blue Diamonds
The Commander Thinks Aloud
Give Me A Moment
Mimi (my bribe)
Ultimatum

Yes, ladies and gentlemen -- that's 22.2 songs. AMAZING. SPECTACULAR. FANTASTIC. It was so great. All the boys were so friendly, I had a great time chatting with them all. John even remembered and brought up when I first came to the board screaming LOSSLESS REVOLUTION. Ha. It sounded brilliant, the boys played superbly, and had a surprisingly decent-sized and enthusiastic crowd. Not many big dancers (myself excluded), but lots of cheers and requests/demands. I do believe everyone had fun.

I had so much fun, I stayed until after the subway stopped. $40 taxi ride later, here I am. But I got a Kazoo, and a t-shirt.

PS. For those who don't know, the vinyl Ultimatum EP has three or four bonus tracks of PTDTB demo tracks recorded during the Ultimatum sessions. I'm blanking on one or two, but I know It's A Departure and Seven are two of them. Sadly, they sold out and won't have any for the next few shows.

Drats. I'd love to hear that version of Seven.

That's a nice set, I'm assuming you recorded this show? Also, thanks for the recording from Allston, Mass., that was a treat.

They really, really started with Clouds and Seven. I think they've started with Clouds a few times, if I'm not crazy...

L@S -- check out the Toronto Tape Tree thread for the story on my recording adventures. And I didn't tape the Allston show, just posted it on the site. Thanks go out to the taper, who did an excellent job and posted it on Dime.

I think it's save to say that they played every TLW song you'll ever need to hear that night? I'd be very happy if i get half of that at the show I'll be attending in November.

I would've liked Rich Wife and Unsalted Butter. But otherwise, yeah. They just about nailed it all.

right, I just updated the setlists in the Library and they are regular openers. I was just assuming that with all these rockers they would always open with those. I mean, start with Rich Wife and the whole place is jumping. Or I would be.

Oh, I forgot. We also got the Bullshit Blues Jam. So maybe that equals out the .2 of Everything Is Talking to an equal 23 songs.

The "Everything Is Talking" tease didn't get it's own track? ;)

I can't get over how good our recordings turned out. I'm super hyped. It's like the awesome concert experience that just won't end.
