On a personal note: I'm so freaking lucky! October 30th is my very first exam night for this new school I'm going to, but lo and behold, I can still go to the show because it is in my very own city. That prospect will make studying all the more bearable.

jesus, i live in the biggest metropolitan area in the whole of europe yet the closest show the band plays is like 200 miles away? how can this be?

also, the closest show would be wiesbaden, which shows up on the puschen website, but not on the full schedule. what's up with that?

and lastly, some of these dates were supposed to be "the long winters duo". which shows will feature the full band? i really need to see the full band at this point!

so many questions...

oh good. now all i need is a confirmation of the show in wiesbaden - or even better - a show in my area between vienna and groningen and i'm all set :-)

(i do realise that liesbeth said in her posting they would all be full band shows, it just didn't match with the info i had before)

well, that's the specific info that I got, so things must have changed. For the better, in my humble opinion.

Isn't Wiesbaden sort of halfway between Berlin and Amsterdam? Makes sense that such a show could take place on the 2nd. Rest assured that as soon as I hear more, it will be posted here.

liesbeth, i'm not doubting the accuracy of your listing, i'm just saying that the two lists - puschen's via moni and yours - differ slightly.

and yes, geographically it would make sense, but wiesbaden and offenbach are basically the same city and it would be unusual to play two shows there and none in or around cologne. we'll see!

But since Offenbach is with Keane, a headlining show in Wiesbaden could happen. Although I've said it before and I'll say it again: I wouldn't trust a show in a venue called Schlachthof. Ouch, it hurts to think what could happen.
And yes, they should give Köln some love. Totally.

"My" list actually comes from puschen.net. I'm sorry I thought I had mentioned that!

Funny, Karlsruhe has a Schlachthof-venue, too (TLW played ther in 2004), and in Vienna there's a venue that used to be a real slaughterhouse...

I wouldn't get too excited yet, folks...

"Chaplin [of Keane] announced that he had admitted himself to a clinic for drink and drug problems. This initially resulted in the cancellation of three gigs and postponement of their September US tour. On September 8, 2006, the whole North American tour dates were cancelled outright to allow him to continue to receive treatment.[...] As a result of this, the upcoming UK and European tours scheduled for October and November 2006 are also considered to be liable for possible postponement depending on Chaplin's treatment."

Well that's pretty old news by now. At the moment everyone's wondering if Chaplin, Justin Hawkins and Pete Doherty are doing some jam sessions together.

Please, PLEASE play some UK shows without Keane. I would travel ANYWHERE in the Uk to see a headlining full band show.

Without Keane.

I am willing to give up my first born/pets/CD collection/guitar/any and all limbs for this to happen.

Please?

I heartily second that. Plus all the Keane dates are sold out anyway. Are there more Uk shows to be confirmed? Their schedule looks pretty packed...

latest official news is that at the UK Keane shows John will be performing solo. The European dates are still the full band.
No news yet about other headlining shows...
