haha. i've been meaning to....

here's an attempt at a setlist (the set was quite short)

carparts
fire island, AK
blue diamonds
the commander thinks aloud
teaspoon
honest
pushover
(it's a) departure

i think that was it...

the show was good, but i seem to have become a magnet for the group of talkers in the crowd as of late. i don't understand why people go to shows when they're not going to pay attention to the music...

the sound in the HUB ballroom wasn't great either...something was especially wrong with john's mic during "blue diamonds"...

all in all, however, it's always fun to see them live. since i'd been out of town for the shows in july, it'd been almost a year for me!

too bad you didn't get the two hour treatment, but perhaps the venue was afraid the attention span of the average student doesn't last that long?

he mentioned "homeland security"... i didn't see many campus "donut shop prisoners" around, come to think of it.

Don't get me wrong, I love Chapel Hill...but sometimes I can't help but wonder how things would've been different. And I do wish I went to a school with a Scandinavian studies program.
