I got my Ultimatum record in the mail today. How about that banjo in Clouds? CRAZY.

OH MAN! SEVEN JUST CAME ON! WHAT?! THIS IS CRAZY! I LOVE IT. <geekasm>

Ok, so mine came in and it is 151/250. Unfortunately, I have to wait until Christmas to hear them and Sour is making the wait more difficult.

Have I mentioned how awesome this version of Seven is? I'm listening to it again, for the third time. I have to listen to It's A Departure (v1) again, but it sounded like a lo-fi version of more-or-less the same. All the other tracks are very different, and very, very, very, very cool. Well done, LW's, Barsuk, and Control Group.

Also, I would like to point out how much better the art looks on the vinyl version of Ultimatum. The back of the CD looks like the text was put on by someone using Photoshop for the very first time; but the back of the vinyl is much clearer, much more professional. I'm impressed.

It's a long ten days 'til Christmas, Pancakes.

Everyone STILL has a boxset numbered in the 100s. Am I the only one who thinks this seems funny/fishy?

So far:

101, 106, 110, 123, 131, 147, 151...

John kept 1-99 for himself. He stacks them and uses them as a coffee table.

I thought that he built a small house out of them that he's letting ex-LW band members live in?

He would've needed 1-99 just to fit Sean's hair in. ;)

To add to the over 100 trend, yesterday my gift box came in the mail. I have number 148/250.

Hooray! I received my box set tonight and I adore the alternate version of Seven. It was definately worth the wait.

Forrest! Mine is #101/250.

Are all the barsuk shipped ones 101?

Like a Room 101 for vinyl junky completists?

Nah, it turned out that Forrest was mistaken. This happens on every 101st thing that he says, which sounds like a really good ratio, until you take out the Simpsons quotes.

I got #151!

I got a record player for Christmas, so I've been able to enjoy the LW vinyl goodness.

What kind did you get?

Because my old Pioneer record player from the 70's with the wood cab works, but it just doesn't sound that rich at all. I think I need to get something better. Or a new needle. Or something.

I definitely need a new needle, but it might be better just to get another record player. Eventually.

I bought the "box set" before there was a box set, so I should be #1. I bought all 4 vinyl albums at the show in Montreal last year and Nabil told me that he'd send me a box for the set if I emailed him my details... which I never did (lazy, stupid or both). Anyway, the band are coming back to Montreal on the 28th so hopefully they'll have a box for me. Then I can officially post on this thread.
