Long winters?
Can't abide them. Frost and whatnot. That dreadful white stuff. You know, it's damp, it freezes -- snow. Won't have it. Not at all.
Do I need a muffler and snowshoes to participate here?

They're congenial circus freaks who consume broken glass and defecate pure gold.grant wrote:Who ARE these Long Winters?
They're just dreamy.
You're obviously confusing them with John Vanderslice.
A Visit To The Vanderslice Merch Table
YOUNG FAN: Wow, that was a great set.
YOUNG MEG: It sure was!
YOUNG FAN: I would like to purchase an album! Which one do you recommend?
YOUNG MEG: Well, would you rather die crazy (Holds up Time Travel) or young (Holds up Four-Tracker)?
YOUNG FAN: (Gawks.)
And, scene.
I think he bought Time Travel, but I don't remember for sure. Mandy or Christine, do you remember?

John Vanderslice will probably come up from time to time here. His stuff is pretty great.
He's also on Barsuk and has a really great web site with many wonderful legal MP3s of swell bands like Spoon, Beulah, and Death Cab for Cutie.
He's also a pretty nice man.

Winter certainly is a rather pointless season if you cannot go skiing (i.e. if you live in a landscape that's just flat as flat can be).grant wrote:Can't abide them. Frost and whatnot. That dreadful white stuff. You know, it's damp, it freezes -- snow. Won't have it. Not at all.
