I thought maybe he was just having a 'good voice day', but I can vouch for the fact that it was incredible in PDX too. It would appear that break from touring has done it quite good.

Good lord. I hope you are still using your mouth and lungs.

Very true. It's so "indie-rock" to sing while inside an iron lung...

Yeah, dude. Radiohead only sang about having an iron lung, and it might've even been metaphorical.

If you sing in an iron lung, you don't have to waste money on all those reverb effects. Band of Horses has been singing in an iron lung for years.

I dunno, I think putting your head inside the iron lung is contraindicated in all the literature I've seen. It may in fact void the warranty.

at this point if i was john i would never fess up to what happened to the missing tooth because all of your made up guesses are comedic gold! and it helps to keep a gossip rumor type thing going. i mean if he stepped in announcing what really happened we'd probably all go "oh", look at each other awkwardly, turn, and walk away. and who wants that?
this is way better!

How much would that tooth go for on ebay?

There has to be some creepy hipster out there with a place for it in his trophy case, alongside Sam Beam's shaver leavings, Connor Oberst's oversized contact lenses (used), and Chris Martin's cry pillow.

I wouldn't buy it, but it would certainly be on my 'watch list'.

Classic TLW interview questions:

after WIPTF release: So what's Peter Buck like?
after PTDTB release: What took you so long making this LP??
after new album release: What happened to that tooth?
