HD encore

Post by leigh »

Hey all,
Harvey Danger played a great New Year's Eve Eve show at Neumo's and John joined them on stage for one song of the encore. Sadly, I didn't recognize the song...but it was rocking! Sean also made a quip after John left the stage--something about "perfect" and "enemy." Sorry for the vague post. Maybe someone else who attended can fill in the details?

Paging Unremarkable, Unremarkable to the service desk...

I ran back and forth between Neumo's and Chop Suey, where they were hosting a benefit for the Crocodile employees. I got a text that the Long Winters were playing, so I dashed the 4 blocks, and caught Car Parts (just missing New Girl) with Michael Schorr on drums. Pretty good night for music.

OK-the song was "I've Got a Feeling" by the Beatles. I knew I'd locate it somewhere in the recesses of my mind...I'm blaming it on a headcold mixed with a few drinks!

I just played that clip with my little (2 wks shy of a year) girl in my lap. From the moment it started she was raptured. Seriously. She just stared and smiled. Every now and then she would point and say something like "Baa boo" which probably means, "Daddy, how come it doesn't sound like that when YOU play New Girl?"

the sound is poor...John's mic was low but the vocal were much louder than this taping.

Sean said something to the effect of "Truly, perfect is the enemy of good"

And now I disappear back into obscurity...

So what, are the Vegas odds that John makes a similar appearance at HD's Merrymakers 10th Anniversary Extravaganza? I've bought my tickets regardless, but it'd be sweet to get a twofer.
