can I split myself into several users and vote more than once?

criminal poll, simply criminal, but I think Nora wins by the smallest margin from the Commander, because it's the ultimate closing song, and because Departure to me is a better closer than it would be an opener.

I would pay money to hear Shanty Town live.

Have they ever thrown that one down in front of a live audience?

I mentioned "Shanty Town" to Jonathan when I saw them in Yakima (on my birthday); John's dad was at the show so I was hoping for a sing along. It sounded like he would be as surprised as the rest of us if John ever actually did play it. Nevertheless I voted for "Everything's Talking" and "Shanty Town" because at this point those are two of the very few songs I haven't heard live and they would be awesome.

I chose everything is talking cause its my myspace song profile and i know what its like to have things talk, hum, sing, etc when it is impossible to hear harry potter coming through a container of juice.

i was in yakima too, i was the one who got to dance with johns neice during honest and i sang a bit of new girl. the party was fun too.

mimi is always like this closer song, cause it haunts me (i sometimes hear the opening music part when im not listening to music nor with people) and i cry every time i have listened to it, which is over 400 times.. i like hearing government loans, gives us a different side to johns magnetic personality we all love, and how far he has come since then.

Rich Wife/Nora with a slight edge over New Girl/Medicine Cabinet Pirate.

Is "Commander" too sad a song, to close a show with???
I'm only asking, because "Departure" ROCKS BALLS!!!
I mean, if it had been written earlier, it would've been used in the movie
"Heavy Metal"...

New Girl/Pirate based on a utilitarian standard.

Carparts has that awesome first note though. Can take an audience from zero to 100 in a blink.

I totally agree...
But even moreso, that little inhale, just before the start of the song,
is hair raising!!!
Also, I love how "Gimme", and "parts" just flow into eachother, without pause...

Yes. And I'm so glad they do it live, too. It really makes the intro to the song.

Yeah, i got Rock Ultimatum @ Maxwell's.... and listening to the recording (and fighting through the screeching 16 year olds behind me) i think your son did get them to play Ultimatum.

but the version of Ultimatum that im talking about, he played 2 nights later @ Union Hall (you weren't there) - john played the lead on guitar instead of keys, and rothmania played the guitar part on keys. it was pretty awesome. and available for download, if you've not gotten it yet?

its up on haterhigh last i knew.

It's still there. It was temporarily offline last week while I redesigned the ol' site a bit. Some things are still missing, but those shows should all be intact. And I think you mean Commander, not Ultimatum. ;)
