I'm with Jason (as usual) on this one. [My plan is to agree with Jason on every single thing till he gets totally frekaed out, kind of a social experiment thingy]

i don't see a problem with pink shirts on men. some look very good in them. i think john looks fine. in fact i'm pretty sure he's worn that shirt a few times at shows.

and i liked the pigtails...for the show. i don't know about it as an "every day" look.

I think that goes without saying.

John will play your wedding: just sign him to your label and micromanage his career. I've seen it done.

Nothing celebrates wedded bliss quite like the lyrics to "Carparts".

well, i've already decided that my wedding song is going to be "there is a light that never goes out" by the smiths.... so either i have a DJ play that, or john covers it..

i wish i could of gone to hot topic with john, seeing him in silly hot topic pants with chains would be GREAT for him to land some chick that isnt a groupie. then, we could go to lane bryant to get something for bart roderick, (not myself, i just got a scarf, silver heels and red jeans at forever 21) like bras or something. then getting a smoothie! yay!

john could play my home, id have to pay him with gummy bears, or just plain cash! yay!

i had the wedding fantasy myself but know i can't have the wedding be AAAALLLL about me. so unless john could bust out a motley crue song or any other such 80's flashback, we'll be going the DJ route.

Nada Surf has been covering it for something like 5 years now, and they do a fabulous job.

hmmm, Nada Surf at your wedding, now that's a nice thought.

My husband is a musician and he has a rather persistent fan who, on a drunken night, made him promise that he would play his wedding. This guy then phoned him one day to tell him he's got the wedding date set. Turns out his wedding was scheduled on exactly the same day as ours. Poor guy, not only didn't he get my husband to come and play, but all befriended bands that he might have asked instead came to our party.

I'm sure John could play some 80s hair rock, in fact I think the pink shirt is a great start. Oh no, wait, that's Duran Duran I'm thinking of. Did you know their keyboard player Nick Rhodes got married in a complete pink suit, including pink top hat?

Alas, for ever "Nick" Duranie* sat outside the Savoy that afternoon, the image was burned indelibly into their broken hearts...but damnit, i can only find one tiny thumbnail of the outfit in question. Anyone?

*Not me. I was all about Simon.

yea, i did end up googling it because i was too curious to wait. sadly it was not as brilliant as i had thought and i don't think you can get the full effect with that small pic. i was expecting a BRIGHT almost neon pink. it's was very mild than what i saw in my head. but still...so 80's glam and so not good.

ah, but it wasn't a very bright pink, it was more of a girly pastellish pink. He did have matching make-up though, including glossy lipstick. Ah, the 80s.
