did I really hear stevie zoom say something about a vera project benefit, or was I hallucinating?

john did play on a vera project benefit back in 2007, but perhaps this is something new...

This is the thing at the EMP.

I just read tickets were over $300, so I don't think this even was geared towards TLW fans.

I've never heard TLW play The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down.

Hopefully Robbie Robertson fans have made wads of dough over the years, otherwise this might be one of those sad occasions where a hobnobbing audience is totally unfamiliar with the cause of the evening.
Tickets are sold out anyway, apparently the economic crisis hasn't hit that hard yet.

I am very glad I did get to see Dixie live - which as it happens was probably my first introduction to Sean as lead vocalist.

I believe they used to play it back when Mr. Nelson was in the band, I never heard it though. I have heard a demo of Mr. Nelson singing it solo with a piano though.
