What the crap is joycore?
Somebody fill me in, please, I'm too busy teaching my kids to make bombs out of boogers and matchsticks to figure it out...

As far as I can tell, the allegorical relationship is:
Joycore:Joy :: Hardcore:Anger

Oftentimes, angry music makes me grin like a madman.
Where do I go in the 'core?

Hmmmm. From what I can gather 'joycore' bands are all about happy silly frivolity and jumping up and down. I mean ALL about it. I think that, while I can certainly jump up and down to the LW (and the fact that my five year old is a fan is also telling), there is way too much depth and complexity, both lyrically and musically, to qualify as joycore.

i'm not sure, but it certainly doesn't fit as a description of 'the worst you can do is harm'.

Unless Ted Leo's cornered that market.
