a piece of advice that can be given as far as getting into 21+ shows goes:

show up at load-in time, carry things inside, and don't tell anyone who can't be trusted that you're not 21. in all my experience, people typically just come up to you and ask for the cover and then leave you alone.

Maybe you can hang out with the band before the show, the guys are usually outside unloading stuff or after the show. Hell, you can sit outside the venus and listen to them play behind the walls. Thats what I would do.

It's fine, I won't go to the show, as much as I hate, there's nothing I can do about....

....unles I write a really nasty letter to John and the guys, about my disapproval of a lack of all-ages shows...

... but they'd take energy and I really don't mind it. I'll see 'em live, unless they pull a Harvey Danger on me, and that's highly unlikely going to happen.
