Isn't this the same Seattle Weekly that compared John to the lead singer of the Counting Crows (which in my book is considered an insult)? "It wasn't what he wrote, it was his tone ."

Yeah, at the All-Ages show the other night, John was griping about it, and told us a humourous story from his past, related to it.

i couldn't even vote in a lot of those categories because i haven't even heard most of the bands. i'm so not "down".
of course i did vote for the long winters. and i was excited about the cover/tribute category cuz i think no.13 baby are so so great.

Hell's Belles are perhaps one of the best novelty concepts I've encountered recently.
Rather fetching young ladies, as well.

...And if you do pick up a copy of the Seattle Weekly for the poll, you should also pick up The Stranger . That way you can take the pull-out, toss away the rest and read The Stranger instead.
Just a thought.

You know, I just got back from a pub, where I happened to pick up the same Seattle Weekly that had the TLW review in it.
All I can say is ouch.
And that the dude who wrote that stuff is probably an ass.

Sounds like a great plan.
