i too missed the obvious, but i wasnt really thinking about it too much, thinking will just get me into trouble. but when i did think about it i thought it was relating to washington state

I gotta chime in and trump all y'all. I heard "Washington's on the line" and for the longest time I was thinking that someone was on the phone with the the US government. After reading the lyrics I was just confused.

Now that it's been explained clearly, you might think that I would hear the right words, but that is not the case. I still automatically think of some military-uniformed guy at a command center on the phone and I still sing the word "line" instead of "one".
