Best way to get an autograph

i was wondering what's the best way to get an autograph after the show, since i am going up to chicago tommorow it would be great to get some autographs and shake some hands with some talented musicians

They usually man the merch table after their set, you should ask then. They are quite approachable, and I'm sure they would be more than happy to oblige.

I've never understood that phenomenon...

i would suggest purchasing something. like a cd. then, just to mix it up a little, ask them to sign something else. like your shoes. yeah. that would be badass. AND i guarrantee it would make them giggle.

Agreed. Also, why is a signature required for any kind of official stuff? We put so much store in autographs, and I can't figure out why.

I like them, they can be viewed as even more personal than a photograph, though I suppose the importance is sentimental and/or something you assign in your mind. They can be memory triggers, if you like that sort of thing, to put in a pretty box with your photographs, poems, postcards, useless trinkets and love letters. How very very tweemo.

Ha ha, awesome. One of my friends got his chuck taylors signed by his favorite band. So you can proudly parade your autograph around by just wearing your shoes.
