You mean it's true. FUCK!!!!

Now I have to burn all of my DCFC merchandise. FUCK!!!! FUCK!!!

To whoever said "boo hoo" because OC cast members showed up late and missed the Long Winters set? What are you, brain damaged? That is GOOD!!! Finally something GOOD happened.

one of the main characters (adam brody's seth cohen) is a huge death cab fan (matter of fact, adam brody is a huge death cab fan in real life, also) and, yes, they've not only played a death cab song, but they've also made numerous mentions of the band. seth even has a 'transatlanticism' poster prominently displayed in his room.

the oc is awesome, and not just because they songdrop some pretty great bands: belle and sebastian, spoon, laptop and beulah have all had songs played.

There was a rumor that some of the cast had been guestlisted for last night's Nada Surf/TLW show in LA.

I'll be interested to hear if that turned out to be true (and really regretting the opportunity to tag along for the trip, natch).

i can confirm a seth and summer sighting. they appeared (to me at least) fashionably late and as i spotted them during nada surf's "killian's red". which means they would've missed the entire long winters set. boo on them, in that case.

i'm from "the oc" (los alamitos/seal beach) and contrary what you may think, everyone at my high school loves it despite (or maybe because of) the fact that it's nothing like the orange county we live in. yep, everyone loves it.

except me. soap operas are soap operas.

I HATE THAT SHOW.

I mean, if you want to watch people who aren't teenagers act like teenagers on a tv show, why don't you do it right and watch 90210?

some of them might not be teenagers anymore, but they're not in their mid to late 20s like the most 90210 cast was:

Benjamin McKenzie/Ryan Atwood--September 12, 1978

Adam Brody/Seth Cohen-- April 8, 1981

Mischa Barton/Marissa Cooper-- January 24, 1986

Rachel Bilson/Summer Roberts--1981

Chris Carmack/Luke Ward--December 22, 1980

Samaire Armstrong/Anna Stern--October 31, 1980

besides, when did 90210 ever play good music?

the oc is great dumb fun/long live the oc!

The Flaming Lips played the Peach Pit After Dark on 90210. (This was during the "She Don't Use Jelly" days...)

My favorite Steve Sanders quote (well, paraphrase) ever: "I don't really like this alternative stuff, but these guys ROCK!"

My apologies for further derailing this thread, BUT...

MY favorite Steve Sanders quote was: "You know what they say, Brandon, 'Still waters run deep - and kinky!'"

I don't really care. If I could put that show into a rocket and shoot it into the sun, I would.

ps: I love Steve Sanders! also, you know a show that was good, but only lasted for a season or even less on fox? THE HEIGHTS. hell yes.

aye! your wish is my command, meg. "time constraints" have kept me from doing so, but i'll knock one out by tomorrow.

i wasn't able to bend j. rod's ear, but i gave sean a holla and he said, and i quote, that he would "do anything for the mafia". i say we take him up on that some day.

Dude, my friend has repeatly gone a little tirade on people don't refer to Orange County as "the OC". I remember him in a Jamba Juice ranting for exactly the amount of time needed to make our drinks, on why we don't call it "the OC" and how that's just some outsiders wrapped sense of the area because they saw the abbervation somewhere.
