i stand up and toast the tv for getting it right

fact: when i'm really bored, i watch bad shows on mtv.

anyway, i was watching the one where they let someone go through your room and then they have to pick someone, based on how many used condoms are in the trash and the porn they find on their computer, for a date.

i was about to change the channel when i heard "blue diamonds" shortly cut off by a john mayer song. ah, life is wonderful. just had the compelling urge to share.

Oh, and I might add, I'm completely addicted to *cringe* "America's Next Top Model"...so don't feel bad.

I read somewhere that reality tv has replaced drugs as the vehicle people use to escape reality.

Look at it this way at least you have MTV wich occasionally plays The Long Winters or even HD all i have is Much wich plays nothing but crap honestly i cant watch Much music for more than 10 min at a time wihtout saying this is retarded. Also you might actually hear their songs on the radio i on the other hand am only able to hear Flagpole sitta again by Harvey danger, Honestly i called a radio station got through and requested anything by HD that wasnt Flagpole, they dont have it. I almost stabbed myself, and i can just forget abou the long winters
OHH OHH wait
There was this one time when i was flipping channels at like midnight and the brendon lenoard show was on family channel and his band of the day was The Long Winters so i got to hear New girl and a couple others, and i didnt even want to gouge out my eyes the show was pretty entertaining to! That could also be because im a kid trapped in an adults body

yup, i've seen it. it's called roomraiders and it's on mtv. unless of course there are other ones on other channels that are similar. which i wouldn't doubt. anyway, it's an awful show.

Ok. You know what, I want to fight for queen of bad tv. Check this:

Sometimes, during my lunch hour, I turn the lounge TV from Bloomberg (booooooooring) to WGN so I can watch Maury Povich.

I watch the show for one reason only: Paternity Test!

I love it when there are, like, 35 guys and at the end NONE of them turn out to be the father. That's what TV is for. Indeed.

I watch the Steve Harvey show almost every friggan day, not because its good but because its better than the rest of crappy daytime tv
I can sing the theme to fresh prince without having to hear it
Drew carey is awesome when nothing better is on
I'd say im the king of bad daytime sitcoms
but i still cant stand the cosby show i wish him dead every day
speaking of which is he dead yet?

it was tragic when cosby's son died. how horrible it must be to lose a child.

i know cosby's recent tv work has been less than amazing, but check his comedy act - it's breathtakingly sharp. really incredible. in 'comedian,' chris rock discusses how the Coz can riff for two hours straight and crack the audience up at every punchline. awe-inspiring.

tv doesn't have to be dreadful. there's certainly stuff worth watching.

off my high horse,

I heard a Sushirobo song during a Real World episode on MTV. It was during an on air "conflict" between two annoying housemates.

I think the two blondes (one waif, one Coyote Ugly) were fighting over who was going to see the frat-guy's enourmous penis first. Oh and they were all chain-smoking and drinking beer from 40s in paper bags. I tell ya, those RW kids are so "tough."

I was only watching it because the current season was shot in my hometown, San Diego.

I swear.

No really.

Since this thread has (sort of) turned into a discussion of what's good on TV, I offer the following solutions: Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Office.

Acidic, painfully honest comedy. Much realer than the Real World could ever hope to be.
