Long Winters...Stare!?!?!?

Postby Unremarkable » Sat Apr 26, 2003 5:48 pm

Honestly, does anyone else have this problem that when they do information searches or mp3 searches for The Long Winters and get returns for this crappy metal band Long Winters Stare? It gets aggravating.

Heh. Yeah. Absolutely.

Try using quotes and the minus symbol on Google, like this.

the best part is when you have metal-head who are of Long Winters Stare.

Sure is fun riding in my car. They've learned to not asked for rides. Works well for all those involved.

the first time was the best time.

Them: Hey, put this on, please?
me: sure, who is it?
them: the long winters
me: oh, it's okay, I have my own copy
them: you DO? Does that we can get you to actually start to like GWAR!
me: but you guy don't even like GWAR
them: that's not the point, anyway; let's have a listen

it was a listen they would never forgot.

I think what BladeRunner meant to say was "The best part is when you have metal-heads who are fans of the Long Winters Stare."

Still, not a terribly proper sentence, but at least it's comprehensible.

Oh dear god, it's been nearly 5 damn years since I started this thread. Is the board really that old?

Even though I'm newer to this board, I'd like to also acknowledge the staying power of the Long Winters. I'm a little ashamed to admit that I didn't give them the attention that they deserved early on--like a bad rash, they just kept showing up at other shows that I was attending: Clem Snide, the Wrens...and while I still like those bands, they don't get nearly as much air time on my stereo as the LWs 5 years later.
