John to Appear on Song Exploder Live 11/15/14

John will be the guest at the live taping of Song Exploder Live on 11/15 at The Rendezvous:http://therendezvous.strangertickets.com/events/18365890/song-exploder-live. This is both great and bad news for me because Ben Gibbard has a show that same night. Does anyone have any idea how long the Song Exploder taping might run? I'm wondering if I could possibly make to at least part of Ben's show,

The Commander Thinks Aloud was the subject for the podcast. I'm not sure when the show will be available but I think it's worth looking for. John talked about the inspiration for the song as well as some of the technical details.They also played some of the isolated tracks. Together the tracks make a great song but listening to them separately was odd. I could never imagine how those fragments could come together but I guess that's why I'm not a musician.
