Postby trashcan_afterthought » Sat May 31, 2003 11:38 am

ok, i know the intro bit kinda, but it would be really long to tab out so just email me or something for it.

Chorus:
A.......................................................
Sitting there where you buried your pets
A.................................................................
get up we'll dig graves for your invisible friends
...................C#............................A...................
now I cant stand to hear another thing explained
..........C#.......................A..................
your trip to spain, your childhood pain
.....................C#................................E...........
so wont you quit talking down to your girlfriend
........B..........................................................
oh i see, youre not fighting youre flirting, well
...................D........A....................................
i hope its exciting

(the next verse is the same thing)

Chorus:
D....................................................A....
Jet city wont let you go without a fight
D.........................................................C........A..
See the pod poeple on prom night at hater high
..........D.............................................
dont stay up late to cry, you've got a
C.....................E..............................D............
Big trip to plan say goodbye to your old friends
D..........................................A.......................
so goodbye goodbye jet city

the outro is A-G/A-F#/A-A

A/G - [302220]

Hey your tab was pretty right on, chord-wise. I think I got the basics of the intro: There are definitely some intricate parts that are missing, so just get the feel and listen, listen, listen

3 times 4th time
>e -------------------------------------|---------------------
>B --12----10-------------------------|---------------------
>G ----9-----9----11-9-----11-9-----|-9\--14--------14--------
>D -----11----11-------11------11---|-11\---14-------------
>A ------------------------------------|----------0(12)----------
>D ------------------------------------|--------------------

And to achive that cool rockabilly effect do this on the A chord:
>e ---------------------------------------------------
>B --2-2-2-2---2-2-2-2--------------------------------------------
>G --2-2-2-2---2-2-2-2-------------------------------------
>D --2-2-4-2---2-2-4-2--------------------------------------
>A --0-0-0-0---0-0-0-0--------------------------------------
>D -------------------------------------------------------

Then just listen and apply it elsewhere in the song when it's called for.

And you don't distinguish between major and minor chords, but if you're just playing it barre style then it don't matta.

ALSO, don't forget that nasty D7 chord when he says "Old fri-ends..." Love that part....

Anyway, that's all I got for now

just for the record, i didn't even notice that those tabs were in drop D. ignore it if you wish. it doesn't affect the tab.
