Bass Amp question
Hi,
I was knocked out by the Bass when I saw TLW at the Tractor a couple months ago. I know the bassist plays a Ric, but what the heck kinda amp does he use to get that overwhelmingly gorgeous sound?
Thanks in advance!

Ashdown
The amp i use is an Ashdown ABM 500 2X10 combo and i've used it on every tour we've done in the U.S. I love it and i've been able to coax some really cool sounds out of it.
Ashdown is an English company and the amps aren't in every music store, but I've seen them at the Guitar Center and at Bass Northwest in Seattle and a couple of other music stores I've popped into around the U.S. and in Europe have had one sitting around, so they're not too hard to come by if you're really looking.

and is it posted somewhere that i am a female? how do you know that? does my name give it away?

okay, i have a long history of trying to make a funny, and getting those strange, hateful looks instead...
of course there's a long history great female bassists, including Kim Gordon who has been a major influence on my own playing,
that said, there's a tendency for guys to over obsess over the tools (ok, toys)(dude, is that the new re-issue tube screamer?!!?), and i am imaging this area as a ramshackle tree house with a hand painted sign that say's
"no gurls!!"
and again, that's supposed to be FUNNY, i would never dream of excluding anyone from a forum that encourages musical pursuits.
and btw: just pick up that bass and play it... it's not hard to get started and be good enough to play with others
