Blanket Hog: The Who/Art Garfunkel?

Postby Harvey Winters » Thu Mar 25, 2004 6:55 pm

I was wondering,
(and I "searched" the names to avoid doubling up)

The intro riff on "B-Hog" was that a Townsend tribute?
Was it 2 or more guitars? Just one???

Everytime I listen to Jon sing that song,
It's got that "Bridge Over Troubled Water" feel t to it...
I can picture Art singing Blanket Hog",
out in front of the Central Park Crowd...

(I coulda went in '80, but I got nailed by my Mom tryin' to skip school)

Just wondering...

Technically this may be a band nerd question. I have one of those Line 6 delay pedals, (blah blah blah, I know), and I went tweedly-tweedly in it for about ten seconds and then the box just played it over and over for me while I went "bronk bronk". Pretty much like every song.

Sorry for not being clear:

Was/is your music/lyrics inspired at all by The Who/Art Garfunkel?

And since I'm in the land of band nerds:

When you were "bronk-bronking", did you "windmill" 'em?

I spoke w/John at the show in the Bowery...
He said there's a "no windmilling" sign in the studio...

*sigh*

That's a shame, and a rule that, dare I say, needs to be occasionally broken?
