Kudos to all
And I rarely give Kudos to anyone. Unless one is talking about the chocolate covered granola bars made popular in the late 80's. This is one of the best threads I've been to on any board. Much to my dismay, I've found I've been playing most of these songs wrong. Everything is okay now though. Thanks for all your work and input.

Be generous with the hammer-on's on the second fret whilst playing G's and C's.

Pushover
Working on my Pushover chords. I'll update this post as I continue to figure it out. The strumming pattern is a bit tricky to pick out and you'll likely have to listen to the song a few times to get the hang of it. The G (pick up) notes are played once, as a transition chord. The C's may or may not have the G on the low E. Your call.
If anyone wants to throw in their two cents before (or after I'm finished), by all means.

PUSHOVER - THE LONG WINTERS
CAPO 2
G Am x2
G Am C(G)
x2
G Am G C G (pick up)
Fight, we can try
Am C G (pick up)
I'd love an answer that isn't sly
Am G C G (pick up)
Or so, so you say
Am C
Don't toast the day before the twighlight
Am C
For you I'm a pushover
G D C Am
I would, (if I could) I would
C G
I just want you to say come on
D
Wish me luck
C

G Am
G Am C(G)
Repeat as necessary. End on G.
As usual with John, the bass G note is played on almost every C chord. Also with the C chords, there's a load of hammer-ons. Especially on the D string, second fret. This song's timing and strumming pattern can be a bit difficult to pick up, but if you play along to the song (or better yet -- a live/solo version of it), you should be able to pick it up fairly quickly! Good luck!

Ultimatum Tab Attempt... for my first post!
My first post is also my first attempt at transcribing a song, but I love Ultimatum so much, what better time than now to start?
As King God himself noted, tuning low to high is D-A-D-F#-A-D
I tabbed this from the stripped down acoustic version as performed on woxy.com's Lounge Act session, so the tab may vary as the song has a couple versions...

Anyone else hear about the lawsuit going down against online tab sites? I see OLGA.net, guitartabs.com, and many others all have their stuff taken down until this gets figured out.
Dude, that sucks. I guess I don't see the problem of listening to a song, figuring out how it is played and telling other people.
I wouldn't have been able to learn the instrument without good songs to play.

Maybe you belong to someone

Dm C
You were hurt so you got hard
Am G

You’ll set us both on fire
Dm C
You’re faking, so I’m pretend sleeping
Am G
Waiting for this to be fun

NOTE:
For the sake of organization and ease of use, I have compiled all the tabs posted in this thread onto one fun-filled user-friendly website. I figure not only will it provide quick and easy access to the tabs people might be searching for, but also make it clear which songs are in need of tabbing in the (hopefully near) future.
BUT I NEED YOUR HELP. Please continue to submit new tabs, corrections to old ones, modified ones with more details, etc. etc. The more, the merrier. Tabs can be submitted to this thread (as they have been thus far), or privately to me either in a PM or at info (AT) rawkpaperscissors.com .
You will also find the archive of live FLAC recordings. Please, feel free to download them, but as always, do not distribute in MP3. Especially not whole shows. This will make me a sad panda, and I will take down the downloads. This section also needs your help. All the downloads currently available were either taped by myself, or captured off of KEXP's lossless online stream. I want to change that. If you have taped a Long Winters show you wouldn't mind sharing, send it to me. I will gladly host it. *cough* That also includes any band members or barsuk employees who might have copies of their performances...*cough*
Without further adieu, you will find all the aforementioned goodies at http://thelongwinters.rawkpaperscissors.com

I'm pretty bad at tabs, too...but I'm trying like heck. Doing this is getting me a lot better at picking things up by ear, but I still have many miles to go before I get good at it. For example, here's a starting point for Rich Wife...
I can't quite pick out the second bridge (the "do do do do dooooo" part). I'll work on it a bit more later...maybe. Heh.
I'll be happy to be linked from the library. That's something I should do... link to this site and the library. Maybe the MySpace and the Wikipedia, too? I'll see if I feel like doing more uploading HTML documents when I get home from work.

Still figuring out that awesome intro/bridge riff...
It goes something a little like this...

G|-------10-13^14-10-------10-13-13----|
D|-------------------13-13-------------|

VERSE:

note: Skip the G# the last time before the chorus and go straight into the A.
CHORUS:

I started to sound out the chords to Teapoon today. I might come back and update other parts later, or someone else can pick up from here.

Teaspoon is sounding good to me! Keep working on it -- it's looking fantastique. Like Seven, though, I think it's with a Capo on the second fret...John, are you around to confirm?
I spent the last hour working out Seven. It's not finished (and may be completely off), but it sounds good.

This is Fire Island, AK, as performed by John solo at KEXP some many moons ago... early 2005, IIRC. It's in a different key that what's on the record, as I'm pretty sure the record opens up with some sort of E7 on the seventh fret. This is, perhaps, the more sure I've been about any tab I've done here ... I'm 99.999% sure it's accurate. It's also the one I've figured out the quickest. Spent only minutes on it! Woot!
