A Morning of Deletions

Postby Merlin » Sat Oct 18, 2003 8:40 am

Exclamation point person and poetry boy are gone now as are their (his?) high-larious posts.

If you catch similar grabassing in the future, PM me and I'll take care of it. Said assholery will be deleted without comment.

Thanks, kids.

Kisses from Vancouver,
Merlin

Merlin is everyone’s hero. Like Batman. But since Jon Stewart has already claimed to be Batman, Merlin must be Superman.

Now seriously, how did you make sure that guy was a fake? I guess the “sheet music”-thread gave it away pretty much, but I think there was at least a 0.8%-chance that was some... weird but “real” person...?

Every comic book geek knows Jon Stewart is

THE GREEN LANTERN!!!

In brightest day,
In Darkest night,
No evil shall escape my sight,
Let those,
Who worship evil's might,
Beware my power:

GREEN LANTERN'S LIGHT!!!

Its Kyle Rayner right now. And don't forget Hal Jordan. But he's The Spectre now. Stupid DC continuity.

Isn't there some revamp underway in which The Spectre and Hal Jordan split from each other, and Hal either goes back to being GL or else becomes something else?

Or has that already happened and been undone while I wasn't looking?

I don't really know. I gave up when they ressurected Hal into the spectre. In fact, I was a minority that thought the way Hal went bazonkers was pretty character appropriate. I never saw him a the most filled enchilada in the first place.

LSJ-you are bonkers!!!!

I strip you of your comic book geekdom...

Hal Jordan was THE Green Lantern!
Not a Token...
Not a gen-x upgrade...
Not "Moe" with a bad attitude

The city he called home (Coast) was destroyed,
and the forces that police the universe, turn a blind eye to it...

I'd like to see YOUR calm, collected, reaction,
and then you can watch me yawn at you...

You probably hate Barry Allen for killing the Reverse Flash after he
had killed his bride-to be at the alter...
Which was one of the single most pivotal
moments in comic book history to that day...

As far as the Spectre thing goes, no comment...

Go now, and read your back issues, and be known as a geek, no more!!!

I'm going to scramble its URL. Is that Bestial enough for you, Laura?

(Revelation Did You Know: New evidence has surfaced at Oxyrynchus that the original number of the Beast was 616, making it a clearer case for Caligula, who put a statue of himself in the Temple in Jerusalem.)

Well, I was hoping for something more along the lines of total world domination, but it's cool.

However, Grant, you are a fount of knowledge, and I am consistently amazed. =]
