interesting german interview with a theme in JUSTmag, and thankfully there is an english version to be found here. Which doesn't seem to be working right now, but hopefully it does when you read this.

It's working now - and just in time for the impending holiday of love...

What, in your opinion, is romantic ?

Sitting and reading the newspaper while your lover sits at the other end of the couch knitting or working a crossword puzzle, and your feet are touching.

adored this - the act is so simple yet so intimate....

Indeed, it does work now. Thanks for the translation, Liz. And thanks for the link, Liesbeth.

Great interview!

"It's a proven fact that all girls want to play the bass guitar"--How true.

However, accordians are not a good gift. They remind me of death as there is always an accordian at a Polish wake.

"It's a proven fact that all girls want to play the bass guitar"

I would like to see the study which backs up that claim. But then again, maybe it's just that I'm not a girl...

I'm calling bullshit on that. It's a fact that most bass players are wicked hot, which might make a girl want to, um.. you know, with the bass player..

That's what my ex girlfriend says. But that's ok, I didn't want to learn to play the bass for her anyway.

On the subject of accordions:

6th Int'l Accordion Festival, Feb. 26 - March 28 (!!), Vienna Austria.

One month full of accordion insanity. Now if that doesn't get me excited!...

same here. BUT...i only decided to try to play bass because i had tried to learn guitar and got frustrusted real quick. years later when i realized every band needed a girl bass player i bought one figuring it would be easier to learn than the guitar. the answer to that? yes....and no. no only because i have yet to do more than tune the damn thing. but it and my little amp make for lovely decoration in my bedroom along w/my acoustic guitar. besides, they are nice to have around if anyone who actually knows how to play comes by.
