I'd rather talk about girls underwear, frankly

Someone tried to get John to make an end-of-year list again. Don't they ever learn?

Extrawack!

Thanks for that Liesbeth. I love how you had to reassure the guy in the "comments" section that it was safe to interview John.

"No really! He's nice! Come baaaaaaack!"

Hi, that's my blog that the questionaire is on...

I think it's awesome that he responded the way he did. I (and many people) love to see what the people/artists they admire are listening to or are thinking about, so that's why I asked John...I think his answers give way more insight into his personality than if he'd simply answered "I liked the new Giant Drag album"...so in my mind, his responses made for a great post.

He actually concluded his note to me with "hope that doesn't sound too curmudgeonly". I told him, "not at all".

O dear, I just had to respond to that guy's response again - couldn't let it go. Talk about curmudgeonly.

Better'n being a dumb-ass. (I know, it's an old joke, but it's true!)

Two things about the actual poll answers:

1. Yes! Someone else besides me actually doesn't worship iPods! No offense to any of you who love yours, but if I never hear the word 'iPod' again, it will be entirely too soon. They've become about synonymous with 'hypocritical yuppie excess' for me, even though I know not everyone who has one is like that. Not to mention Mr. Roderick's point, which of course he makes better than I could. When you start to measure music in gigabytes, something just seems...well, out of whack, for lack of a better expression.

2. Suits, eh? Got any Nudies? Want one? (Teehee, mental pictures rock.)
