ah, so you did figure out the big secret after all.
too bad about the video though, although the penguin might feel otherwise

for your 10 hour flight however, might I recommend the new Centro-matic album? It's great for repeat play.

I have two drives, and four partitions. X: is the My Documents drive. I just labelled it X because the letter is so hip and edgy.

I know it's just a blog and not a zine, but that person really needs an editor or something.

Also, and more tragically, the mp3 links didn't work for me.

Me too. I try to always add "blergh" after I have to use it.

I feel like some sort of point must be given, however, for naming the blog after a Tribe Called Quest song.

What's in the BOX??

Don't you remember? It was J-Rod The Dragon!

I couldn't agree more. If you read it outloud, it sounds like something an overnight DJ would say at 3am, which you would find hilarious in between moments of microsleep on the long drive home.

So I just heard the album.

It's definently more straight-ahead powerpop rocking than any of the previous LPs. I could have sworn j-rod said this was going to be more mellow like the Ultimatum EP. The "hooks" don't drill into my subconsious as fast as WIPTF, but I'm sure the songs will grow on me. I think "Honest" is my favorite number on it right now. I'll be for sure investing in a hard copy come next month at my local independant record store.

If you go back to that link, you'll see that you totally offended that guy. You meanies.

Let the record show: I gave props!

EDIT: For the record, I know exactly how he feels. I was once torn a new one on the Calexico boards for ONE sentence of a live review. One. Brutal. But, having said that, it's also the caveat of putting your work out into a public forum.

Oh. Look at that.

No offense meant, but I just found it difficult to trudge through all the their/there, its/it's, and whose/who's errors. It got to the point where it was distracting to read, especially when linked in a thread full of mostly proper zine articles. I see one of the spelling errors and the mp3 issue has since been fixed, though.
