Christmas-ish interview (old)

Postby Moni » Sun Dec 07, 2008 7:03 am

I tlooks like this is very old, but has only appeared in print so far, if I got that right,so I'm still posting it.

Sometimes I wonder if there's anyone who is celebrating Christmas and looking forward to it...?

This is a great interview. One of my favorite parts:
Most of my songs are written as coded messages to ex-girlfriends, telling them what all their problems really were, because I couldn't find a good way to say it when we were dating. They're all like, “You know what? Here's your problem…” put to music.

Here, here.

That's a very grumpus interview. I've known the interviewer for many years, so I suppose we were just being a couple of bitchy queens.

The Three Imaginary Girl's Holiday Party is going to be 12/27. I'm looking forward to seeing John as Indie Rock Santa in person. The photos from previous years look hilarious.

I was there, but didn't end up on Santa's lap last year, and only now did I spot myself all depth of fielded out in a cool picture of Eric. Super blurry is actually one of my best looks, luckily Laura realizes that.

i generally like x-mas. i have embraced it's commercialism full on. i surrendered to it a couple years ago. and since we resolved to not go anywhere on x-mas anymore, thus not stressing about running all over town, our x-mases have been great. i can't think of too many awful ones i have had. i sometimes don't like a lot of things i have to do because of x-mas or feel overwhelmed with all i want to do but mostly i like this time of year. and i LOVE all the holiday tv specials. i mean LOVE them.

What about the movies? I mean, c'mon -- Home Alone? Classic.

Oh, and there's that It's A Wonderful Life movie, too. I guess that's not bad. ;)

Looks like Gibson made it on the "Nice" list this year.
