i just read this linked somewhere else but came here to gush. it was such a good article. john did a great job. i can't say i know how he feels, but i know how he feels. i spent half of my life at the croc so i kinda grew up there too. i started hanging out there the moment i turned 21. i did my first shot there (it was bad). i went thru a lot of life there. granted the last few years it was open i didn't go very often, but i was crushed when it closed just the same. it was such a big part of seattle music. i knew plenty of people in bands who once they got a show there felt they had "made it" especially once they got a friday or saturday night slot. i don't doubt it will come back with a vengence. i know plenty of people eagerly awaiting it's opening. me included.

Check out John playing in the new Croc. There are videos of Ultimatum, Hindsight, and Cinnamon.

Thanks! Those videos are awesome! I'll link them at HaterHigh tomorrow...and maybe use the Hindsight video to put together a rickety tab of some sort.

Great videos! John's singing feels more evocative than usual...but maybe it's just the lack of snarky interludes.
