I had toyed with a sort of regular video dispatch format along these lines a long time ago, but was strongly discouraged from doing so by John himself, convinced that it would be a better idea to get the word out when the project (I thought he was talking about the doc, but he could have meant his album) was closer to completion.

I wonder who did this video, and if these videos indicate that his project is closer to completion than he's letting on.

Okay, so the video is listed again, "posted x hours ago", and when you click on it, it says "taken off by user". Again.
What the hell?

I just got a PM on youtube from him. He put it up before checking with John, thinking no one would notice (ha!). It sounds like the project is still going forward, and will continue to be uploaded at a weekly pace once it's actually ready. So, let's all take a deep breath, exercise our patience, and be happy we know a special treat is coming our way ... eventually.
