Weird attractions

Postby Johnroderickismylover » Tue Jul 06, 2004 12:04 pm

What weird traits do you find attractive in a person? I find that I am drawn to men with red hair. It sucks because red hair is so rare. (Why is that?) Any time a guy has red hair, though I am attracted to him twice as much as I normally would be. Does anybody else have anything like this?

Far be it for me to rain on your parade, but Roderick's no redhead*.

* unless he was wearing a wig when you saw him, in which case all bets are off.

I wasn't talking about Roderick. I am talking about men in general! Red heads are always more attractive to me.

i also go for nerdy. . .eric foreman, peter parker...nerdy but do-able . . . it could have something to do with the air of freedom nerdy boys posses; they don't try to hide the fact that they like star wars; the truth sets them free

Apparently, I find the inability to pay any attention to me very attractive.

Also, curly and/or messy hair. Swooooon

For the record, the hottest traits in the entire universe (after boys who sing like angels and play hollow-body guitars) belong to boys who drink coffee and can talk yer ear off about politics. I don't know why; it just is.

Runner-up: boys who sing along to "Strange Magic" by ELO as it's being played over the airport loudspeakers when they're on the phone with me, about to fly home from tour. (Unfortunately, I think there might be only one of those boys in the whole world. But I know him, so it's okay.)

p.s. I also seem to have an unusual draw toward ladies named Heather. They're just all so damn fantastic.

this is a weird attraction. i fall for guys who continue to think of me as their little sister. example: "dude, you're so cool & i am so glad that i know you. so, what do you think of this hot girl? should i hook up with her? i mean, i KNOW she doesn't give a shit about music, she doesn't read books or know anything that's going on in the world, but she's hot!"

yeah, that's my life.

it's true. we're all grouped in her cell phone by area code. there's a We Love Stephanie fan club.

Dark, thick hair & pale skin always do it for me. The music helps, but really its the smile then the eyes, the music can always grow. Especially when you get asked to make a mix cd...le sigh...

if you think John has red hair, then meet my husband, now that's what I call red.
it's not what made me fall for him, I fall for people that can make me laugh.

as for music, I have a history of liking people for their music taste, when there was really little else we had in common; and they didn't make me laugh.
my husband combines the two

There are about 100 bitter and bitchy things I could say right now. Why must I always be so sullen?
Instead I will say: when I was in high school, every boy I had a crush on was Jewish. I didn't plan it that way, but my attraction to nerdy boys with glasses, pale skin, and dark curly hair kind of lent itself to Jewish boys.

Someone I can talk to with ease who makes me laugh and feel great about myself are #1, though. Music is #2. I will not compromise on those two anymore.

And, Three's Company era John Ritter.

dark unruly hair, whiskers, nerdy glasses, able to keep up in a conversation about 80's punk bands (yes said guy actually exists! but he's in flippin ALASKA right now) but really the physical features are totally secondary to what's goin on between his ears. I can even be attracted to a blonde (tho' rarely) if he's clever.

absolute turn-off: any guy who asks me to define a word I just used in conversation with him.

i'm ALL about the dorks.

Dark and/or curly hair also kills me.

Oh, and i'm a knowledge groupie.

[an ability to sing/play guitar never hurts]

...But the first thing i notice about a person
is very often his/her shoes.
